THE PENG GROUP

We investigate the surface chemistry of nanocatalysts and their corresponding catalytic activities !

Welcome to the Peng group at the City University of Hong Kong. Our research aim at bridging fundamental and applied aspects in Surface Chemistry and Catalysis; Work involves synthesis, characterization and testing of novel nanomaterials for a wide range of catalytic applications. Different from other groups, special attention will be focused on the Surface Charaterization using Probe-assisted NMR for active site identification, mechanism understanding and the rational design of new nanocatalysts. We use a lots of well-defined faceted nanocrystallites, layer structures and nanomaterials as building blocks for the synthesis of novel functional materials including the design of single-atom catalysts.
